January CEO Update

31 Jan 2019

Welcome to ICC Sydney’s first newsletter of the new year.

Australia Day was recently celebrated across our country and in the lead up to this important national day, we were privileged to host the Corporate Club Australia Day lunch.

Held at ICC Sydney for the third consecutive year, this VIP event signals the start of the 2019 calendar for corporate businesses and for us here at ICC Sydney, it sets the world class tone for the delivery of our events for the year ahead.

Addressing the audience, New South Wales Premier, Gladys Berejiklian, spoke about the importance of diversity and inclusion in the community. This is something which resonated with the ICC Sydney team as we share this belief and are committed to actively promoting diversity and inclusion within our business culture – both through our Legacy Program, which sees us play a pivotal role in connecting clients to the local community, and through our internal diversity streams.

The new year also marks the launch of our new menus which showcase the very best of New South Wales produce, grown by regional farmers. These menus will provide clients with an extensive array of choices to suit any event type or requirement, and include the addition of an Indian feast and Jain-inspired menu.

For those who may not be familiar with the Jain culinary philosophy, it is a vegetarian and spiritually motivated diet. To celebrate our new menus, the culinary team share their kitchen insights on some of the latest dishes in a new video.

The theme of diversity carried over from 2018 when we held the International Metropolis Conference – a magnificent celebration that delved deep into global migration and cultural integration. I encourage you to watch this video case study for a glimpse into this immensely successful event.

As we commence our third year of operation, on behalf of the team at ICC Sydney, we look forward to seeing you at our venue soon.

Warm regards
Geoff Donaghy
