CEO Update – April 2022

07 Apr 2022

As we navigated through the crisis that had disrupted business events over the past two years, we took the opportunity to evolve our services to build back better today.

It was terrific for the ICC Sydney team to connect with many of you at the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event recently. There we revealed ICC Sydney’s enhanced in person services, the way your hybrid events can be expertly delivered through ICC Sydney’s Connect Hub and the experienced team that will continue to support your events.

We invite you to integrate more face to face networking moments within your events at ICC Sydney through our enhanced in person services including ‘Connect Outdoors’ delivered in partnership with Divine Events, to take advantage of the venue’s outdoor spaces with uninterrupted views across Darling Harbour and the iconic Sydney CBD skyline. The venue’s ground breaking Legacy Program now also provides even more avenues to reach your Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives through your events.

Our industry leading hybrid event services have been further advanced with the launch of ICC Sydney’s Connect Hub which spans speaker preparation supporting complex program delivery of both onsite presenters and specialised support via ICC Sydney’s new Digital Concierge for online speakers.  A recent hybrid event, Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia’s Pathology Update 2022, is the subject of an in-depth case study highlighting the way the Connect Hub supported the enhancement of this important event.

At the heart of our evolved service offering is ICC Sydney’s world class, experienced team. While navigating through recent years, our team also upskilled, ready to help you and your organisations smoothly get back to meeting face to face.

ICC Sydney recently joined forces with Science for Wildlife, a leading Australian not-for-profit wildlife conservation organisation, to raise awareness about wildlife conservation under climate change and activate volunteering opportunities for our venue’s team. As an iconic destination, we are very conscious of our environmental impact and particularly the potential harm of evolving climatic conditions on Australia’s unique and precious wildlife.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility partnership with Science for Wildlife will help protect koalas, now listed as an endangered species following the impact of global warming and urban expansion, as well as enrich the venue management team’s social and wellbeing experiences, and we hope to keep you updated on this partnership as it develops.

Your partner in successful events,

Geoff Donaghy
