ICC Sydney Careers

A Day In a Life at ICC Sydney

ICC Sydney aspires to be an employer of choice for First Nations peoples in the hospitality, catering and events industry. Our objectives are to engage with communities and educators as well as roll out initiatives aimed at combating unemployment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia. ICC Sydney aims to provide traineeship opportunities as well as many other career and development opportunities.

Our goal is to remove barriers for people in the workplace. ICC Sydney is committed to providing opportunities to those within our communities that have a physical or intellectual disability.

ICC Sydney aims to be a family friendly employer. An integral part of our Diversity & Inclusion Strategy is to support parents and primary carers back into the workforce following a period of parental leave.

ICC Sydney aims to create a workplace environment that is inclusive of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) people, free of any form of discrimination, bullying or harassment, where LGBTI people feel comfortable and open to be themselves.

The typical workplace is made up of a team that spans up to five different generations, and ICC Sydney is no different. We recognise it is important to accommodate individuals in all stages of their life. Providing initiatives like ‘transition to retirement’ opportunities or financial planning sessions, plus flexible work practices will ensure that all of our team members are set up for a comfortable life into the future.

There are many other streams of diversity and inclusion that we will continue to support and celebrate. This includes but is not limited to: Cultural & Linguistic diversity, gender/women at work and refugees. ICC Sydney fully supports all areas of diversity and inclusion. Whilst not all streams are listed in detail here, they form the basis of a sound business.
