Innovation Comes Naturally To ICC Sydney

31 May 2018

ICC Sydney continues to attract innovation events that share ideas to shape our future as well as provide connections to Australia’s home grown talent with the rest of the world. TEDxSydney takes to the stage on 15 June 2018 and CeBIT celebrates success after drawing a strong delegate attendance to their event earlier this month.

As TEDxSydney returns to ICC Sydney for the second year in a row, participants can expect a day of innovation and inclusion as Australian ideas are shared locally and across the globe.

Drawcard speakers include 2018 Australian Local Hero of the Year Eddie Woo, who has reaped recognition for his refreshing approach to exciting people about mathematics, and leading Australian Robobiologist Dr Anjali Jaiprakash, named one of the most promising innovators to shape the coming decades by MIT Technology Review.

ICC Sydney’s ICT infrastructure will provide robust connectivity to the tens of thousands of viewers tuning in to the event’s global live stream.

TEDxSydney Founder, Remo Giuffré said this year’s event was going to be even bigger and better with the theme of ‘Humankind’ drawing 18 speakers, seven performers and nine filmmakers across four sessions.

“ICC Sydney’s world class capabilities provide our speakers and participants with the ideal space and infrastructure to share Australia’s ideas with the rest of the world. It’s the perfect venue for such an innovative event,” he said.

In yet another successful event harnessing the power of creating connections, and supported by ICC Sydney’s ICT infrastructure, the CeBIT Australia 2018 conference and exhibition attracted delegates from over 40 countries to hear the latest market updates from leading business technology experts at ICC Sydney.

Xiaofeng Ren, Alibaba Chief Scientist and Associate Dean explored the depths of AI, analysing its history and where it will take us in the future. He noted that the lines between AI and real life will only further blend as robotics advance and take on a greater ability to predict human behavior.

Supporting upcoming entrepreneurs was also on the event program as ten startups took to the stage for PitchFest2018 with Ping Data crowned the winner for their mission to rid the world of paper receipts.

ICC Sydney delivered the ideal spaces and infrastructure, creating world class platforms for innovation and idea sharing. With a seamless connectivity experience as well, the venue is able to support clients, and delegates, to create the ultimate and innovative environment.
